The Holocaust
You may be asking yourselves why are we learning about the Holocaust? That happened years ago right.
If that thought is going through your head you need to understand something, yes the Holocaust happened years ago, but the world did not learn from it. genocides still take place. They have even happened in your life time and you never even knew about them. We are learning about the Holocaust and other Genocides to make sure you understand your basic human rights. You are more than likely thinking that the Holocaust happened years ago, and why does it matter? That answer is simple it matters because the mass murder of a group of people based on their race, religion, nationality or ethnicity still happens! Our world has not learned from the past, so the world keeps repeating it. The last confirmed case of a genocide taking place was in 2004.
